Police minister Bheki Cele says the spike in police killings in KZN is concerning.
Cele was visiting the families of two police officers who were murdered while off duty on Saturday night, in Taylor Halt, in the Midlands.
Police Officers Makhosazane Mdlangathi who worked at Plessislaer SAPS and Mfikelwa Mtolo who was a SAPS member at the Richmond station , were a couple and were ambushed by unknown suspects and both their bodies were found with multiple gunshot wounds.
Cele says their firearms were not found on the scene.
Speaking while at the Mdlangathi homestead in Taylor’s Halt, the Minister has called on police to leave no stone unturned in their search for the perpetrators.
