KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Education, Mbali Frazer, says the 83% increased pass rate percentage of the class of 2022 is a result of the joint commitment of both the learners and teachers in schools.
Frazer released the provincial National Certificate Results of class 2022 in Southgate in an event attended by the provincial leadership, the top learner achievers, and the teachers as well.
The MEC says despite challenges such as floods that the province faced but learners remained determined and teachers continued working diligently and received 83% matric pass.
Frazer added that it has been the province’s focus to reach 80% and above and also assist the schools that had the lowest pass rate of 40% and below.
