South Africa’s under-17 national team striker Gabriel Amato says Amajimbos will be fired up for their crucial group B clash against Zambia in the under-17 AFCON on Wednesday evening. The Southern African teams will be desperate for maximum points after stumbling in their opening matches, Amajimbos suffered a 2-0 loss to Morocco on Sunday, and it was also a disappointing start for Zambia who succumbed to a 1-0 loss against Nigeria.

The two teams last met in the COSAFA Under-17 men’s tournament in December last year where Zambia defeated Amajimbos 1-0 in the final and claimed the under-17 regional crown. South Africa will be looking for the win as a form of revenge and to place themselves in a favorable position to make it to the knock out stages of the tournament.

Amato says Amajimbos took a lot of positives from their loss to Morocco and will be fired up for the Zambia match.
