The Red Door Experience at The Werehouse Durban – 30 June 2023
The Werehouse Durban hosted an unforgettable night of music, dance, and pure euphoria at The Red Door Experience. Gagasi FM took over the venue, creating an immersive atmosphere with sensational beats from local and international DJs. The pulsating energy of the crowd transformed The Werehouse Durban into a haven for music lovers, igniting the night with its electric atmosphere.
Cotton Fest 2023 at KingsPark Stadium Outer fields – 02 July 2023
Kings Park Stadium became the epicenter of Durban’s urban music scene as Riky Rick’s Cotton Fest took center stage. This highly anticipated event brought together a remarkable lineup of talented artists, both established and up-and-coming, representing various genres of music. The festival showcased the diversity and richness of South Africa’s music industry, leaving the audience in awe and wanting more. As the coolest, and #1 Commercial radio station, we successfully partnered with the leading Cotton family, which was a highlight of the day.
Hollywoodbets Durban July 2023 – 01 July 2023
Known as Africa’s epic horse racing event, the Hollywoodbets Durban July added glamour and excitement to the week. Our On-Air personalities donned their most stylish outfits and enjoyed an enthralling day of horse racing, socializing, and indulging in the finest cuisine. The event epitomized elegance, tradition, and the celebration of South African culture, making it a must-attend affair. Gagasi FM hosted a Music TakeOver at the Greyville Racecourse Public area, with performances by Minnie Ntuli, and Heazy Madida. Attendees had an opportunity to watch DJ Tira, Dladla Mshunqisi, Dlala Thukzin, and Bello No Gallo on stage.
Euphoria Marquee – 01 July 2023
This year we partnered with The Euphoria Marquee, an exclusive VIP experience at the Durban July, which provided a luxurious haven for discerning guests. With its opulent décor, top-notch entertainment, and gourmet delicacies, the marquee offered a unique blend of sophistication and indulgence. It served as a glamorous retreat for our attendees, ensuring an unforgettable day of hospitality and entertainment.
Ground Work Collective and IEC Voters Registration
Throughout June, in partnership with Ground Work Collective, we were on a mission to get the youth of KZN to register to vote for the 2024 elections. Our very own Minnie Ntuli, Khulekani Mbambo, Khaya Dladla, and DJ Happygal were actively present while doing live crossings, alerting listeners to register to vote. Digitally we made sure we were bold and loud with authentic on-the-ground content. We went to Varsity College Durban North! Kwa Mashu Shopping Centre, Midway Crossing Mall- Ntuzuma, KwaMnyandu Shopping Mall, Warwick Triangle Market – Berea, Scottsville Mall – PMB, KwaDukuza Mall, Pietermaritzburg Taxi Rank, and more.
These successful partnerships and the overwhelming turnout showcased Durban’s rich cultural scene and reaffirmed its status as a hub for world-class entertainment.
