AmaZulu FC midfielder George Maluleka says players need to take accountability for poor results as much as the head coach, Romain Folz. Mido, as he’s affectionately known, spoke ahead of AmaZulu’s KZN derby clash against Royal Am at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday night. Usuthu go into the match having failed to pick up a win in their last 4 league matches, having  played 4 draws and suffered a loss to TS Galaxy at home last weekend.

Maluleke described Usuthu’s performances this season as Inconsistent, especially since the turn of the year. Off the 6 league matches they’ve played this year, 3 of them were at home and they’ve only managed to pick up one victory which was the 4-0 drubbing of Kaizer Chiefs in January.
There has been a lot of questions asked about the coaching of Romain Folz, who recently signed a 3 year contract extension with the club, but Maluleke believes the players also need to take accountability for the Inconsistent results this season.
