The Higher Education Department is taking action against unregistered institutions exploiting students seeking affordable education nationwide.
Speaking at an awareness campaign in eThekwini, KwaZulu-Natal, Higher Education deputy minister Mimmy Gondwe urged the public to verify institutions before enrolling.
Gondwe warned that fraudulent colleges jeopardise students’ futures and called for stricter enforcement.
She emphasised that vulnerable learners must have access to accredited, quality education.
