Gordhan in Talks with SAA on Transporting COVID-19 Vaccines

Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan says his is in talks with national carrier SAA’s business rescue practitioners to allow some of the airlines they still own to be used in the transportation of COVID-19 vaccines.
Gordhan has told Parliament’s Committee on public enterprises, that this would help save the country transportation costs.
He says currently no plane with the country’s flag and name is listed in this project.
The first batch the AstraZeneca Vaccine arrived in the country on Monday in an Emirates flight from India.
Gordhan says using planes belonging to the National Carrier will be good for the country’s image as well.
