The fraud case of gospel musician Doctor Tumisang Victor Makweya also known as Dr Tumi and his wife Kgaogelo Sara Makweya has been postponed to the 7th of May 2021.

They were arrested by the Hawks in Johannesburg following allegations of benefiting approximately R760 000 after defrauding the National Lotteries Board.

Hawks Spokesperson, Ndivhuwo Mulamu says”Allegations on this matter are about a couple who are listed as committee members at an NPO, who illegally pocketed about R760 000 in 2018, where their co-accused allegedly altered information on the funding application which was submitted to the National Lotteries. The money paid out was approximately R1.5 million.”

Mulamu adds that the couple appeared in the Palm Ridge Specialised Commercial Crimes Court, in Gauteng, where they were granted bail of R3000 each.
