Government Administers COVID-19 Booster Shots

The Department of Health says it will today start the inoculation of almost 500 000 healthcare workers with a booster shot of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine.
The workers participated in the Sisonke Study at the beginning of the year.
The jabs provide protection against severe disease and even death from Covid-19.
The department says an announcement will be made to inform other South Africans when they will be eligible for the booster shot.
