Gwarube Concerned About Calland

The Democratic Alliance (DA) and Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) want National Assembly Speaker, Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, to reconsider the appointment of UCT academic, Professor Richard Calland, as part of the independent panel to determine if president Cyril Ramaphosa has a case to answer over Phala Phala.

The three-member panel also consists of former Chief Justice, Sandile Ngcobo, and retired judge Thokozile Masipa.

The DA’s, Siviwe Gwarube, says Calland has shown a bias in favour of Ramaphosa in his contributions to public discourse.
