It is a powerful tool that reaches millions of people every day, providing them with news, entertainment, education, and information. Radio has played a crucial role in times of crisis and emergencies, such as natural disasters, when it provides accurate and up-to-date information to help people stay safe and informed.

Gagasi FM has played its role in providing information to its everyday audience, while having a profound impact on the music industry. The station has been a driving force in promoting new artists and helping to bring their music to a wider audience. From the early days of radio to the present day, Gagasi FM has been a platform for new and emerging artists to showcase their talent while reaching a global audience.

We caught up with some of our radio talent to find out what radio means to them, and this is what they had to say:

Collen Zondo said;

It means a lot to me because, I’m a music doctor and I heal people with the music I play, which includes the content to.

Njabs Zwane said;

What radio means to me; it means making human connections. Radio gives us the opportunity to connect with the listeners, on a daily basis.

Luyanda Khambule said;

Radio means the past, present and the future. I grew up listening to it and it has had a lot of competition. For some strange reason, it stood the test of time.

Felix Hlophe said;

I believe radio is about connections, the most important things in life, is the connections that you make with others. Radio allows me to talk to people, hear their opinions and make opinions.

It is a day to recognize the hard work of radio professionals, including journalists, broadcasters, and technicians, who work tirelessly to bring us the latest news, music, and entertainment.
