Health Minister, Zweli Mkhize, says all the South African citizens have played a huge role since the first case of the COVID-19 was announced in KwaZulu-Natal, in March last year.

Mkhize has been speaking at an event to commemorate all health workers who’ve been in the forefront of the fight against Coronavirus in KZN.

The event was held at Greys hospital, in Pietermaritzburg, where patient zero was admitted after contracting the virus in an overseas trip exactly a year ago.

He says South Africans had to drastically adjust to the new normal, which was not easy.
