The Department of Home Affairs, says its front offices across the country are back online and are providing full services.
This follows last week’s interruption of services as the department was undergoing a system upgrade of the live capture system.
A lot of citizens had complained that they could not get help at the department as they were told that a system upgrade was being conducted.
The department says the upgrade forms part of its modernisation programme.
It says it encountered many technical issues with the upgrade but has since managed to get back to business with only nine offices reporting errors.
Those that have applied for smart ID’s and passports, can now go and collect their documents.
