Home renovation sector wants to return to work

The home renovation sector has drafted a petition in collaboration with Homemakers Media, to pressure the government to allow them to start working.
Homemakers Media spokesperson, Hestelle Robinson, says workers such as plumbers, electricians and interior designers currently have no income.
She believes many homeowners will desperately need the sector’s services before the winter.

Meanwhile SAA business rescue practitioners say a statement released by flysaa stating that domestic flight services between Johannesburg and Cape Town will resume next month is incorrect.
The business practitioners Les Matuson and Siviwe Dongwana, say the statement was released in violation of their communications protocol which was put in place so that unvetted releases are not issued.
They add that the ban on flights remains and SAA’s future funding also remains a key variable.
