DA Wants Mantashe to Account

Reports that the gazetting of amendments to Schedule 2 of the Electricity Regulation Act, raising the threshold for licensing of own generation to 100 megawatt, will be delayed until mid-September, are indicative of the lack of political will to address this issue.
This is according to DA parliamentary member Kevin Mileham.
He says the minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Gwede Mantashe, is ignoring president Cyril Ramaphosa’s deadline.
He explains Ramaphosa instruction for amendments went out on the 10th of June.
