The Democratic Alliance (DA) says the increase in mass shootings in KwaZulu-Natal is concerning.

This is after the DA Shadow Minister of Police, Andrew Whitfield, and his delegation visited crime hotspots including Mariannhill in the western part of Durban where five people were recently shot and killed.

The DA team also visited Mariannhill police station where they met with Station Commander Colonel Muzi Thwala and discussed the challenges that the police station is faced with.

Whitfield says the increased number of people murdered during mass shootings indicates that crime intelligence is failing KZN citizens.

Speaking during a media briefing in Mariannhill police station Whitfield had this to say.
