Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan says various actions during Tom Moyane’s tenure as SARS commissioner, made him believe he was furthering the agenda of state capture.
Gordhan is being cross-examined by Moyane at the Zondo commission of inquiry.
The minister previously told the commission that Moyane laid a criminal complaint against him to advance his own interest of state capture.
It’s been two years since Gordhan testified at the commission where he accused Moyane of acting with malice when he took legal action against him.
Responding to Moyane’s legal representative Dali Mpofu, Gordhan elaborates.
Gordhan says Moyane’s involvement to the state Capture started way before the Nugent commission was established.
He accused Moyane of acting with malice when he took legal action against him, approving the early retirement of SARS deputy commissioner, Ivan Pillay.
Responding to Moyane’s legal representative Dali Mpofu, Gordhan says Moyane wanted him to resign as Finance Minister so that he could continue with the state capture project.
