ANC suspended Secretary General, Ace Magashule, has maintained that the corruption charges levelled against him are politically motivated.
He has been speaking to media outside the Bloemfontein High Court, where he is appearing with 10 other accused, as well as five companies for more than 70 counts of corruption, fraud, and money laundering.
These charges relate to the alleged irregular awarding of a R255-million asbestos roof removal contract in 2014.
In the past week, the former Free State premier visited Johannesburg, where a special prayer session was held ahead of the trial.
Magashule says he’s concerned that the NPA is playing politics.
