Student body SASCO is threatening to engage in strike action if their grievances on various issues relating to higher learning institutions are not addressed as a matter of urgency.
The body says student funding and mandatory vaccinations remains a concern as it continues disrupting student registration as well as proper education.
Sasco President Bamanye Matiwane says they are not opposed to students and tertiary leaders being vaccinate, adding that they have been on numerous campaigns encouraging people to take the COVID-19 jab.
However, he says they remain opposed to mandatory vaccinations. Matiwane says the government should work together with learner organisations to persuade students to vaccinate.
He adds that student debt is also a major issue.
