The IFP in KwaZulu-Natal says it supports the announcement by Economic Development MEC, Ravi Pillay, who’s advocating for the extension of the temporary employer/employee relief scheme.

The party says despite being in support of Pillay’s commitment, it remains concerned about reports of Ters corruption.

It says the Unemployment Insurance Fund opened 75 criminal cases in relation to fraud around the payments.

They have demanded information about progress with the investigations and wants to know how many people, including company directors, have been arrested so far.
