IFP Distances Itself from Durban Unrest

The IFP in the eThekwini District has distanced itself from its alleged involvement in a campaign by uMkhonto weSizwe veterans to chase away foreigners from this district.

The veterans are calling for the closure of foreign-owned shops, claiming that foreigners are a corrupting force.

The IFP’s Bonga Msomi says the party will not under any circumstances join forces that seek to destabilise peace and harmony in society.
