The IFP has accused the KwaZulu-Natal ANC of launching an unnecessary attack on the President Emeritus, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi.
This after ANC Provincial Secretary, Mdumiseni Ntuli, accused Buthelezi and the party as a whole of using his position as Prime Minister to the Zulu nation to fuel their own political agenda.
Ntuli also questioned why Buthelezi also used IFP facilities and the party’s spokesperson, Mkhuleko Hlengwa, to co-ordinate media engagements on matters that are related to the Zulu Royal House.
He says historically the IFP is known for using the royal house to sought voters and paint a picture that it is the only support base of the Zulu nation.
However, responding to these allegations Hlengwa says there are clear boundaries between matters that are of the royal house and the party.
Meanwhile, IFP Chairperson in KwaZulu-Natal, Thami Ntuli, says while there are on going reconciliation talks with the ANC at national level but there are no plans of coalition.
