IIA SA: Public & private businesses have improved

The Institute of Internal Auditors South Africa says there has been a 3.5% improvement in the way the public and private sectors conduct business.
This is based on its seventh edition of the corporate governance index report.
The report measures key elements such as ethics, leadership, compliance, risk, performance and internal audit within organisations.
IIA SA’s acting CEO, Charles Nel, says ethics enjoyed a rating of 3.4 in 2013 and 2015, this dropped to 2.8 last year and improved slightly to 2.9 this year.
