Institutions Could Be Closed If They Do Not Meet The Requirements

Newly drafted rules for universities could see some of these higher institutions downgraded or closed if they do not meet the requirements.

Universities South Africa’s (USAf) Linda Meyer says the new draft rules aim to differentiate types of educational institutions.

In the changes, a university must offer a wide range of studies or be classified as a college.

Meyer says the proposed policy is still up for public comment.
