Kaizer Chiefs veteran goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune has called for the Amakhosi faithful to be patient with Authur Zwane’s coaching set up and the players at naturena, as the club continues to maneuver a topsy-turvy season. Khune spoke ahead of the much-anticipated Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates at FNB Stadium on Saturday, 25 February 2023.
Amakhosi have been one of the most inconsistent teams in the DSTV Premiership, with eight wins, eight defeats and four draws in their twenty league matches so far, as they sit 5th on the DSTV Premiership log standings. Fans have become increasingly frustrated with results this season, especially after Amakhosi’s 3-2 league defeat to Lamontville Golden Arrows this past weekend.
Khune calls for patience from fans, as he believes everyone that comes into the side needs to be given time to settle into the team, which includes players and the coaching staff.
