Royal AM head coach John Maduka believes his side learnt valuable lessons and will bounce back stronger after receiving a 5-1 drubbing against runaway Champions Mamelodi Sundowns on Tuesday night.
It was a night to forget for Thwihli Thwahla as they made a number of defensive errors and got punished by a ruthless Sundowns team. Peter Shalulile netted twice and went one goal ahead of Cassius Mailula in the race for the golden boot. Mailula also scored on the night with a Zakahle Ngcobo own goal and a header from Mothobi Mvala rounding up the scoring for Sundowns. Lantshene Phalane scored the consolation goal for the KZN side.
This was Royal AM’s 10th defeat of the season, only Lamontville Golden Arrows and Maritzburg United have suffered more defeats,  and despite that Maduka is confident that his team will take valuable lessons from the loss and bounce back with seven games to go in the league
