The Jacob Zuma foundation says is disappointed by the Pietermaritzburg judgement to dismiss former president Zuma bid to have NPA senior prosecutor Billy Downer removed from the arms deal case.
Zuma wanted the court to remove from his case, arguing Downer’s past conduct would compromise his case.
The former head of state argues that the leaking of the medical records has compromised him as the information was later widely circulated on traditional and social media.
Pietermaritzburg high court Judge Piet Koen dismissed Zuma’s application and ordered the former President to be examined by state-appointed doctors.
The trial will resume next year in April 2022.
Jacob Zuma foundation spokesperson Mzwanele Manyi says they are not surprised about the judgement.
