Award-wining rap star K.O fashionably known as Mr Cashtime, yesterday released the remix to his record-breaking hit single “Sete”.

The remix surprisingly featured trailblazing Nigerian singer Oxlade, Tanzanian bongo flava star Diamond Platnumz and amapiano artist Young Stunna, who was enlisted on the original. Originally released on September 16, 2022, the Afrobeats-influenced “Sete” immediately took over the airwaves and became a nation hit within a matter of weeks.

Since its release, the song has racked up numerous records, including most weeks at number one on the RAMS radio chart.

Fuelled by an unstoppable momentum like being cited by Rolling Stone as one The 40 Best Afropop Songs of 2022 K.O now takes “SETE” to newer heights set for global supremacy.

K.O sharing because he made the remix “I was never big on remixes, but I believed it could be a great chance for us to take “SETE” it to the next level, especially bringing in some amazing acts from the continent.”

The remix keeps to the original track’s Afrobeats inspired sound with a South African influence brought by the upbeat lyrics of Amapiano Superstar Young Stunna.  Oxlade comes through with his contemporary Nigerian pop style to add a fresh take made up of soft, sensual yet arresting melodies, not to be outdone Diamond Platnumz adds his ki’swhailli romantic finesse.

Speaking about his collaboration with Oxlade and Diamond Platnumz, K.O adds,

“I chose Oxlade and Diamond Platnumz because I wanted to make it organic, and they both bring the West and East of Africa together which is what I had hoped for.”

Overall, the “Sete” remix with Olamide and Diamond Platnumz is a testament to the power of cross-cultural collaboration in music. With its infectious beat and irresistible hook, it’s no surprise that the track is quickly becoming a big hit among fans of both African and North American music.
