The eThekwini municipality has confirmed its mayor, Mxolisi Kaunda, is alive and hard at work to meet the needs of residents.
The metro was reacting to rumours that Kaunda has died.
Municipality’s spokesperson, Msawakhe Mayisela, says the mayor has even addressed the issues of service delivery in Mfume, south of the Durban, and Clermont, west of Durban, yesterday.
He has called for an end to fake news.
