Krugersdorp Residents Want Government To Permanently Remove Zamazamas

The African National Congress in Krugersdorp is currently protesting and calling for a permanent solution to illegal mining and zamazamas.

More than 60 suspects have been arrested and have appeared in court in connection with the Krugersdop gang rape case.

Eight young women were sexually assualted while shooting a music video in the area last week.

The suspects include illegal miners and foreign nationals from Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Lesotho.

ANC NEC member Nomvula Mokonyane is leading the march as she grew up in Krugersdorp.

She says they want government to straighten the illegal mining and immigration policies.
