KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala says there is no economic revitalization or vision in the province that can be achieved if they neglect the creative industry.
Zikalala had been speaking during the inaugural KZN cultural and heritage experience festival launch, in Margate, south of the province.
The industry is one of the economic sectors which has suffered serious financial losses as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Youth unemployment rate has also risen exponentially in the last few months.
Zikalala says history teaches that the seeds of any economic revolution are to be found in a cultural revolution.
