The IFP says it has opted to work with the ANC in the KZN hung municipalities because a coalition involving too many parties was not going to work.
The party has been briefing media in Durban on Wednesday, regarding the decision it has taken to work with the ANC in the hung municipalities.

Meanwhile, the IFP has turned down the EFF’s proposal to work together and form coalition governments in some hung municipalities.
Yesterday, EFF leader Julius Malema joined a list of parties including the DA, Action SA and IFP that had said they wont be going into coalition with the ANC.
However, Hlabisa has back-flipped on this saying they will be working with the ANC adding that they’ve notified the EFF of their decision.
