Kwaito Legend Mzambiya quits music for good!

Kwaito legend Mzambiya has officially announced his retirement from music, marking the end of an era for the beloved South African artist. Born Nkosinathi Zwane, Mzambiya rose to fame in the early 2000s as one of the youngest stars in the Kwaito genre, capturing the hearts of many with hits like “Ghetto Luv” and “Bowungakanani.

Mzambiya also started his music career around the early 2000s, with the songs Mele Senzeni and Jersey Number 10. From, Zola, Soweto, he is one of the most famous Kwaito recording artists who pioneered the genre. A few years ago, he opened up about making over R14 million in the past 20 years as a musician.
After decades in the industry, Mzambiya revealed that he has decided to step away from the limelight to focus on other ventures and personal growth. Reflecting on his journey, the artist expressed gratitude to his fans for their unwavering support throughout his career. He acknowledged that while music had been a major part of his life, the time had come for him to explore new opportunities.
He shared in a statement:
“I am writing to formally resign from my position as a recording artist. After much consideration, I have decided to take a different direction in my career and pursue new opportunities. However, Earth Nurture Records continues unearthing new talent and releasing music as promised.”
