KZN Education Updates on 2021 State of Readiness

Education MEC in KwaZulu-Natal, Kwazi Mshengu, says the department has noted where they faulted in their preparations for learning last year, and are better prepared for the 2021 academic year.

Mshengu has been addressing media during a site visit to monitor the Umlazi district marking centre, south of Durban.

Schools are expected to reopen as planned on the 27th of January.

Mshengu says they will asses the state of readiness in all schools and ensure that this time-around, the procurement of Personal Protective Equipment and other COVID-19 essential protective gear is properly done.
