KZN Government Cautions Residents Amid Floods

Premier Sihle Zikalala has urged all communities across KZN, especially those heavily affected by floods to remain cautious.

Durban areas who were hit hard by the rainfall, which caused flooding, those in the Durban South include uMlazi, Wentworth, Isipingo, Amanzimtoti, Westbrook, as well as area in the Northern part including uMdloti and oThongathi.

The premier says teams are already responding and evacuating 190 people from Tehuis to SJ Smith Hall.

He has urged communities living near river banks and low lying areas to monitor the rivers and evacuate immediately if they notice water rising.
