KZN Health Sets Record Straight on COVID-19 Fake News

KwaZulu-Natal Health MEC Nomagugu Simelane-Zulu has dismissed reports claiming that state mortuaries no longer have space.

Simelane is currently briefing the media on the department’s state of readiness when it comes to dealing with the second wave of COVID-19.

She says the pictures which have been doing rounds on social media are not from any of the province’s hospitals.

Simelane-Zulu has urged community members not to believe everything they see on social media.

Commenting on bed capacity in the province, she says the department has moved with great speed to create capacity and deal with this burden.
