KZN Must Prevent Entering Fourth Wave – Zikalala

With the local government elections just around the corner and the festive season fast approaching, KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala says it would be a real tragedy if the province allowed the COVID-19 fourth wave to come and wreak havoc.

He has been updating the media and the people of the province virtually about the latest developments pertaining to COVID-19 statistics in KZN.

Zikalala says another real tragedy that is currently unfolding is the low rate of vaccinations in the province.

He adds that it is unthinkable and most unfortunate that after so many lives have been lost to COVID-19 when there were no vaccines, so many are still reluctant to come forward and get a jab when vaccines have been developed and are accessible to everyone.

Zikalala says it is also tragic and unfortunate that people seem to believe all the lies and myths that have been spread about the vaccines.
