KZN Transport MEC Orders Probe Into Mass M41 Crash In Durban.

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Transport has ordered a full-scale investigation into a multi-vehicle crash on the M41 in Durban that left a score of people injured.

According to paramedic officials, a runaway tipper truck collided with more than 40 vehicles during the morning traffic.

MEC for Transport, Community Safety Sipho Hlomuka, says part of the investigation will look at allegations of a total failure of the truck’s braking system, the condition of the driver, and various other defects.
