Last Round for Covid-19 Temporary Employer-Employee Relief Scheme Applications

The Unemployment Insurance Fund has confirmed that it will open and begin processing the last round of Covid-19 Temporary Employer-Employee Relief Scheme applications from Monday the 23rd.
President Cyril Ramaphosa announced the extension of the benefits for a month last week.
Since March, just over 52-billion-rand has been disbursed to beneficiaries mostly based in Gauteng, Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape and Mpumalanga.
UIF’s Lungelo Mkamba says the application process remains the same for the extension period and all claims.
