Lebeya Says 95% Of COVID-19 Corruption Cases Have Led To Conviction

The Asset Forfeiture Unit has seized assets worth 1.8-billion-rand from Covid-19 TERS corruption cases thus far.
Giving account on national priority offences, the national head of the Hawks, Godfrey Lebeya, says various companies claimed the money, but didn’t pay their employees.
The TERS is intended to replace an employee’s lost income and is not a grant or a bonus.
Lebeya says 95-percent of this cases have led to convictions.
