Life Esidimeni committee says many people must be held accountable for the tragedy

The Life Esidimeni family committee has welcomed the joint hearing that will be held into the deaths of 144 psychiatric patients.
The patients died, many of starvation and neglect, after the Gauteng Health Department cancelled its outsourced contract with Life Esidimeni to save money, transferring thousands of patients to various NGOs in the province.
Committee member, Christine Nxumalo, says there are so many people that are responsible for this tragedy that need to be held accountable.
