The National Liquor Traders Council has requested a meeting with president Cyril Ramaphosa to iron out some of their concerns.

This comes as fears over another hard lockdown that could be looming as COVID-19 infections begin to show an upward trend in the country.

The council’s Lucky Ntimane says the industry has really pulled together to improve behaviour so they can continue to trade safely.

Ntimane adds that they are doing their bit to protect livelihoods while ensuring the industry supports government efforts to minimise COVID-19 risks and the effect of the looming third wave.
