Reserve Bank Governor Lesetja Kganyago says load-shedding is impacting negatively the country’s economy.

Kganyago says most businesses now have to rely on backup sources of energy such as generators due to the ongoing power cuts in the country.

On Tuesday, Eskom announced the implementation of stage 4 load-shedding due to the breakdowns of its five generators at five power stations overnight.

Kganyago says load shedding is the cause of why the economy is struggling to pick up.
