Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga says those who have been implicated in matric cheating scandals will know their fate once the investigations are done.

At least 300 pupils have been implicated and did not receive their results, while over 50 teachers are also implicated.

The department confirmed that irregularities were found during the marking of the Life Sciences, Physical Science and Accounting papers.

Motshekga says they will also be working with labour relations process to fill vacant post as the system is currently stretched, with other teachers facing disciplinary action.
