Former ANC national spokesperson Pule Mabe is appearing at the Palm Ridge Magistrate Court in Gauteng this morning on charges relating to a R27 million fraud case.

He is joined by his wife and two other senior government officials for a tender that was awarded to his company at the time he was a member of Parliament in 2017, and it was headed by his wife, Mmathlekelo.

Following his first appearance in October last year, Mabe announced his decision to step aside from his duties in the ANC, expressing that he is not doing so because he is admitting guilt but to respect the party’s resolutions on criminally charged members.

NPA Gauteng spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwa says the state believes in the case brought forward.
