Mabuyakhulu and Gumede asked to step aside

The ANC PEC in this province says the decision to ask former eThekwini Mayor, Zandile Gumede, to step aside from her duties along with the party’s deputy Chairperson, Mike Mabuyakhulu, was taken after discussing the move with them.
Addressing the media on this issue, patty’s provincial secretary, Mdumiseni Ntuli, says the two will not perform their duties pending their charges.
He says the party’s integrity commission will probe their situation further.

Meanwhile ANC chairperson, Sihle Zikalala, says if Gumede and Mabuyakhulu are found not guilty of any wrongdoing, they will retain their positions respectively and resume with their duties.
