The National Prosecuting Authority says it’s likely to add more charges against ANC Secretary-General, Ace Magashule.
He is among eight people facing a string of charges including fraud, corruption and money laundering relating to the Free State multimillion rand asbestos roofing audit contract.
Others implicated in the case are five companies.
It is alleged that between June 2015 and January 2016, Magashule benefited from unlawful payments of more than R1 million from the late Diamond Hill Trading director, Phikolomzi Mpambani.
The ANC SG is out on R200 000 bail granted by the Bloemfontein Magistrate Court.
Speaking with the public broadcaster, NPA spokesperson, Sipho Ngwema had this to say.
