Maimane Warns of a Gupta Second Apocalypse

One South Africa movement Leader, Mmusi Maimane, is warning that the business rescue plan for Optimum Coal Mine may open doors for more looting by the Gupta family.

The mine has been under business rescue after resources and finances were swindled by the Guptas, leaving Eskom’s coal supply at dangerously low levels.

The power utility is currently at the centre of the commission of inquiry into state capture … where evidence leaders are scrutinising business deals issued by former board members.

Maimane says he is concerned that Eskom has given permission for a Gupta company to claim as much as R100-million from the mine.
