EFF Leader, Julius Malema, says the activities of the past two weeks are a reflection that South Africa is sitting on a ticking time bomb.

Speaking as the party celebrates its 8th birthday today, Malema has criticised Ramaphosa for deploying soldiers to resolve civilian matters during the unrest in KZN and Gauteng.

President Ramaphosa as the SANDF Commander in Chief, deployed 25 000 soldiers in the two provinces following riots which included the looting and burning of stores, malls and trucks.

Malema has challenged president Cyril Ramaphosa to recall the SANDF from areas that were affected by public unrest. He says countries who have done this before were confronted with insurrection, adding that this was not the case in this country.
