National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola says he has no knowledge of any police investigator investigating any politician in relation to the alleged corruption at Eskom.

Various law enforcement agencies appeared before Parliament’s Standing Committee on Public Accounts today, to shed light on allegations of corruption, fraud, and criminal cartels at the utility.

Former Eskom CEO André de Ruyter only officially filed a complaint in relation to Eskom’s corruption with the police a day before he appeared in Parliament.

De Ruyter made headlines earlier this year following his bold allegations of senior politicians being directly involved with and entrenched in corruption at Eskom.

The former CEO went on to accuse the ANC, in particular, of using the power utility as a feeding trough.

Masemola says nothing of that nature was reported to him.
